Fabric upholstery needs to be vacuumed and shampooed regularly to remove loose fibers and reduce wear and tear. Caring for leather interiors is even more necessary, for over time, tanning emulsions used in producing leather will vanish. Left unprotected, leather becomes hard, brittle and stiff, leading to irreparable cracks and costly repairs. Spotless windows make for a safe and enjoyable driving environment. 

At The Auto Salon, your car is thoroughly vacuumed and fabric upholstery is gently shampooed. We hand detail all door panels, vents, dashboard elements and exposed plastics. Leather surfaces are cleaned with special preparations and conditioned with Ph-balanced LEXOL Conditioner. A UV protective vinyl dressing is applied, the interior deodorized and windows made spotless. Your floor mats are cleaned using a high-pressure wash.

Oxidation, fading or dulling of a car’s finish occurs when paint loses its natural oils. Exposure to most soaps or cleaners accelerates oxidation and strips away protective waxes. Automatic car washes use harsh chemicals, strong detergents, heated, recycled water and potentially abrasive equipment because they have less than a minute to “wash” your car. 

At The Auto Salon we use no machines. Every vehicle is hand-washed with a Ph-balanced gel that won’t strip away your car’s protective finish. We use soft fleece mitts followed by a soft-water rinse and a full terry towel wipe-down, right down to the door jambs. Wheel wells and undercarriages are rinsed and exterior windows are wiped streak free. For a final touch, a wet-look silicone tire dressing is applied. Extra services include interior vacuuming and spotless interior window cleaning.
